Housing Resources of Western Colorado is a 501(c)(3) private non-profit and a chartered member of NeighborWorks America. We have been a vital part of the Western Colorado community for over 42 years. We want to make our community a better place by providing these housing services to those in need: Affordable rentals through our property management program, Housing rehabilitation loan program to assist homeowners with necessary health and safety repairs, a
Homebuyer Education class that prepares first-time buyers to be successful homeowners, Homeownership through the Self-Help build housing program, and Energy efficiency upgrades on homes through the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP). HRWC’s newest program, the Housing Solutions Center, works one-on-one with clients in these five areas: Rental Counseling, Financial Coaching–budgeting and credit issues, Pre-purchase Counseling for those seeking to purchase a home,
Post-purchase Coaching to be a successful homeowner, and Foreclosure Prevention. Our mission is to provide housing services that create stable, sustainable Western Colorado homes. With your help, we can make a difference. Our website furthers our mission by providing ways for you to learn more and get involved. Thanks for visiting! Your support is appreciated.
The essence of our organization exists in our human spirit – the spirit and passion of those that serve and the spirit and determination of those who accept our services. We are dedicated to raising awareness of our cause and serving those in need.
